About Our Parish
A century of faith, community, and service in the heart of Saskatchewan.
Our Core Values
These four values guide everything we do — from Sunday worship to community outreach.
Faith
Grounded in Anglican tradition, Holy Scripture, and the historic creeds of the Christian church. Our faith is the foundation of all we do, connecting us to 2,000 years of Christian witness.
Community
Strengthening relationships in rural Saskatchewan. We believe community is built through consistent presence, shared meals, and genuine care. Every person in Leask matters to us.
Service
Reaching out to those in need in practical, compassionate ways. From food support to pastoral care, we are called to serve our neighbours as Christ taught us — with humility and love.
Inclusivity
Welcoming all people regardless of background, age, or life experience. We affirm the dignity of every human being and strive to be a parish where every person finds belonging.
Our Community
Rooted in the heart of rural Saskatchewan, we serve the village of Leask and all surrounding communities.
Village of Leask
Located approximately 100 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon on Highway 40, the Village of Leask was officially incorporated on September 3, 1912 — named after homesteader Robert Leask whose land the Canadian Northern Railway crossed in 1911.
Today, with a population of approximately 379 (2021 Census), Leask serves as an important hub for the surrounding agricultural region and the Rural Municipality of Leask No. 464.
Sportsman's Paradise
Leask is affectionately known as a "Sportsman's Paradise" — a fitting name for a community surrounded by lakes, rivers, and wildlife areas that support fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, golfing, and outdoor recreation of all kinds.
Our community's connection to the land runs deep, and our parish reflects that spirit of stewardship, gratitude, and respect for God's creation in our region.
Diverse Community
Leask is also the administrative centre for the Mistawasis Nêhiyawak First Nation band government. Our parish is committed to building respectful, meaningful relationships with all peoples of the region.
The community offers a K-12 school, a health centre, a special care home, and essential services. Our parish proudly partners with these institutions in serving the whole community.
